Trike #1 Sonny's Build

This trike was my first trike, born on Oct 1980, Davenport, IA. I purchased it in a basket for $1,000.00. Had a VW power plant pushing it. This entire assembly took a few months to complete. My daughter was 5 here. (She's the only one of us that retained her good looks) Trikes were few and far between then and not common views on the roads. On top of the tour trunk was a murial that was of the theme of King Kong, ape and woman, was already on the trunk.

Trike #4 Sonny's Build(s) In Progress

This trike was born on Jan 30, 2005 by KCE Industries, Valley Center, KS. The front is from a 1977 Suzuki GS 750 motorcycle with a VW power plant pushing it. This entire fabrication process took only a few hours to complete. There is a long ways to go but the main goal here was to have it on 3. Now only endless possibilities remain.

For starters here's the mag front wheel I have chosen off of a Yamaha. (Compliments of Dan Seely) The pictured Suzuki above is actually turning out better than I expected. It's been repainted, rewired, re-engineered to except a few modifications, but still a lot left yet.

Trike #5 Sonny's Build(s) In Progress

This trike was built entirly by Floyd Flud, from Gransbury, TX. The front is from a 1977 Hondamatic with a future VW power plant pushing it (also rebuilt by Floyd). This is planned to be my last trike as I have owned a number of them and this style suits my tastes best. The builder/designer seems to (for me at least) taken into consideration practicality, comfort, safety and appeal qualities. There is a long ways to yet.
